NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Deutscher Verein will present the Weihnachtspiel "Der Wolf und die Sieben Geislein," with music by Humperdink, at the society's club rooms at 1234 Massachusetts avenue, on Wednesday, December 18. The performance will be private, and admission will be by invitation only. There will probably be a second performance in Brattle Hall some time after Christmas, which will be open to the public.

The following cast has been provisionally chosen:

Der Wolf, L. J. Snyder '08; die Alte Geis, P. S. Harrison '09; Die Geislein, E. Angell '11, W. Beach '11, B. Moore '08, M. M. Osborne '08, H. E. Porter '09, A. J. Onderdonk '10, E. C. Wendt '10.

The violin parts will be taken by R. Dixon '10 and F. H. Nesmith 3L. More candidates are needed for subordinate singing parts and the competition is open to men who at present are not members of the society.

In the week preceding the Christmas recess the Deutscher Verein will hold a celebration to commemorate the one-hundredth anniversary of the delivery of Fichte's speeches to the German people. These speeches were largely instrumental in rousing the Germans against Napoleon, who, in consequence, soon lost his hold over continental Europe.

Dr. J. Goebel, of the German department, will deliver an address on "Fichte, the first Pan-German."
