The Freshmen football team played a practice game with the Seniors yesterday, defeating them by the score of 5 to 0. The Freshmen scored by straight football in the first two minutes of play, all their backs doing good work, Leslie and Minot in particular. the last-named, who has been out of the game for over two weeks with a torn ligament, was noticeable throughout. For the Seniors, Fales played a splendid game, being especially quick in running back punts. Russell also filled his position well. On the whole, the game was marked by an aggressive offense and a slow defense by both sides, the Freshmen being slightly superior in both respects. Both teams were inclined to play too high.
