Seniors Won Four out of the Seven Matches Played Yesterday.

Seven of the nine matches in the last series of the interclass tennis tournament, now between the Seniors and Freshmen, were played off yesterday. The Seniors won four out of seven matches. One match was stopped by darkness with the score, 6-4, 3-3, in favor of the Freshmen, and the other will be played today. The series is being keenly and closely contested, but the chances seem slightly in favor of the Seniors. The summary of yesterday's matches is as follows:

Singles--G. Burt '08 defeated W. M. Whiting, Jr., '11, 6-4, 4-6, 6-4; C. C. Pell '08 defeated A. Sweetser '11, 8-6, 6-4; E. M. Pickman '08 defeated W. B. Fraser-Campbell '11, 8-6, 6-2; C. R. Leonard '08 defeated J. M. Walker '11, 6-4, 7-5; H. Nickerson '11 defeated G. S. Taylor '08, 6-1, 6-4; F. F. A. Pearson '11 defeated H. P. Burt '08, 6-1, 6-3.

Doubles--H. Nickerson '11 and F. F. A. Pearson '11 defeated C. R. Leonard '08 and G. S. Taylor '08, 6-2, 6-4; J. M. Walker '11 and W. M. Whiting, Jr., '11 and G. Burt '08 and H. P. Burt '08 stopped with the score 6-4, 3-3, in favor of Walker and Whiting.

Doubles to be played today on Jarvis Field:

At 1.30--C. C. Pell '08 and E. M. Pickman '08 vs. W. B. Fraser-Campbell '11 and A. Sweetser '11.

At 3.30--G. Burt '08 and H. P. Burt '08 vs. J. M. Walker '11 and W. M. Whiting, Jr., '11.
