HAVERFORD, PA., OCT., 4, 1907.--The University tennis team continued its successful playing in the intercollegiate tournament here today and won the two matches in doubles in which Harvard men played. Pell and Gardner refeated Register and Tilden of Pennsylvania, 5-3, 6-1, 6-3; and Niles and Dabney beat Jones and Bundy of Yale, 5-3, 7-5, 6-4. On account of the rain last night and early this morning, only three matches in doubles were played in the afternoon.
As a result of their victories today, both Harvard teams will enter the semifinals of the doubles tomorrow afternoon--Pell and Gardner playing Gordon and Gerlach of Princeton and Niles and Dabney playing against Philliard and Thayer of Pennsylvania. The third round of singles will be played in the morning.
