New Haven, Conn., Oct. 11, 1907.--The football practice for the Yale squad today consisted of punting and running back kicks by the backs, a long signal drill and a 15-minute scrimmage between the university and scrub teams, which ended with the score 5 to 5.
The features of the practice were the punting and rushing of Coy, and a 100-yard run by Philbin of the scrub team. In general there was poor work with the forward pass. Many old players are back to assist in coaching the team. A hard game is expected with Holy Cross tomorrow.
