A reception and beer night will be tended to Professor Paul Clemen, the visiting professor from Bonn, this evening at 8.30 o'clock in the club rooms of the Deutscher Verein on Massachusetts avenue near Bow street.
E. F. Hanfstaengl '09, president of the Verein, will open the reception with a few words of welcome, and will be followed by J. D. White '07 and A. W. Hinkel '08.
Several prominent men will be present including Consul Reinke, Professor Pfleider, Professor Munsterberg, Professor Franke, Professor Peabody, Professor Spalding, Professor Richards, and Mr. Gaugengigl. Representatives from the Boston Deutsch Gesellachaft, the Boston Sprachverein, the Institute of Technology, and the Harvard students Zirkel will also be present.
The beer night will be arranged much after the fashion of a real German "Kneife," with the tables set in the shape of a horseshoe. There will be informal singing both in German and in English. Everyone in the University interested in this academic greeting is cordially invited to attend the reception.
