Candidates for the University baseball team will be called out the week of February 10, the exact date not yet having been determined. The work for the first few weeks will consist in the development of the battery candidates and in fielding practice for the rest of the squad. Special attention will be given to batting this year, as the prospects for a good fielding team are bright.

Only two men of last year's team, ex-captain B. K. Stephenson '06 and A. L. Castle '06 are not in College this year. The following "H" men are eligible for the team: E. P. Currier '09, catcher; G. F. Greene '07, pitcher; A. E. McCarty '07 and F. H. Burr '09, first base; F. W. Kemble '08 and H. McCall '09, second base; J. W. Simons '09, shortstop; C. R. Leonard '08, third base; Captain W. D. Dexter, Jr., '07, J. D. Pounds '08 and C. W. Harvey '09, outfield. The burden of the pitching will probably fall upon Meyer and Parsons, who should be very effective this year with the added experience of last season. An unusually hard schedule has been arranged quite different from former ones. William Lush, formerly with the Cleveland American League team, will coach the men
