1909 Hockey Defeated Newton

The Sophomore class hockey team defeated Newton High School yesterday afternoon at the Brae Burn Country Club, West Newton, by a score of 4 to 1. Considering that the team had not played together before, it made a good showing. During the first half neither team had an advantage, but towards the last of the second the Sophomore forwards played well together, and scored three goals in rapid succession.
