At the Association Football meeting last evening it was decided to enter a man from Harvard to play on the team against the Pilgrim association team of England, which is now playing a series of games in Canada and the United States. The game will be played under the auspices of the Merrimac Valley League on October 16 at the National League grounds, Boston. S. Thackara '08 was selected to fill the position.
Fall practice for the University team will begin as soon as possible and will continue throughout the fall, although no games will be played until next spring. As nine of last year's team have returned to College and a number of promising candidates have handed in their names, the prospects for a good team are excellent. G. A. Gordon '06 has been appointed temporary captain in place of B. H. Squires '06, who will be regular captain next spring.
The schedule for next year has only been provisionally arranged, but games with Columbia and Haverford are assured.
