At a recent meeting of the Board of Directors of the Alumni Association, the sub-committee, which had been appointed to consider the advisability of using the Stadium for the Commencement Day exercises this year, reported that it would be impossible to do so as there was not enough time before June to provide the necessary awning for the Stadium. It reported further, however, that if an awning should be decided in the future, the expense for one could be underwritten without difficulty.
A standing committee, consisting of S. M. Weld '60, I. T. Burr '79, and E. W. Atkinson '81, was appointed to consider the advisability of securing such an awning and of holding future University functions and Commencement Day exercises in the Stadium.
