NEW HAVEN, Conn., May 17.--In a tiresome some game Pennsylvania State College was defeated by the Yale baseball team this afternoon by the score of 3 to 2. The game was characterized throughout by poor fielding, though Yale made no errors. Yale made her first run in the first inning, and in the third scored two more runs with a base on balls, a two-base hit, and a single. Jackson, who was well supported by the team, pitched for Yale until the ninth inning, when he was replaced by Pratt. Mcliveen pitched for Pennsylvania State.
