The lacrosse game, which was scheduled for yesterday between the University team and Hobart College, was cancelled by Hobart College.

The last open pair whist match under the auspices of the Whist Club will be held in the Union this evening at 7.30 o'clock. Steins will be given to the winning pair.

The corporation of Yale university recently voted to make the programme of studies in the freshman year elective, thus leaving the entire academic curriculum elective. This change will go into effect next fall.
