Second Yale Debate Trials

At the second trials for the Yale debate team, held last evening, the following were retained: A. H. Elder '07, J. A. Harley '06, G. W. Hinckley 3L., A. P. Matthew 1L., J. W. Russell '06, C. A. Small 2L. In the next trials to be held in Upper Dane next Tuesday at 7.30 o'clock Elder, Harley and Matthew will support the affirmative and the negative will be upheld by Hinckley, Russell and Small. Each man will be allowed 12 minutes for a main speech and five minutes for rebuttal. The undergraduate making the best showing in all the trials will be awarded the Coolidge prize of $100.

The judges last night were Professor G. P. Baker '87, S. Curtis 1G., R. W. Kelso 2L, and R. T. Parke '98, who will be coach of the team.
