The seventeenth annual indoor handicap meet of the Boston Athletic Association will be held at Mechanics Hall, Boston, at 7.15 o'clock tonight. All the seats have been sold, but a few admission tickets, at 50 cents, will be on sale at the door at 6 o'clock.
Ten regular events, in nine of which Harvard, is represented, are scheduled, and over 500 entries have been received from a large number of athletic association throughout the country. Yale, University of Pennsylvania, Princeton, Cornell, Dartmouth, Williams, Amherst, and Brown will all be represented. There will also be a series of relay races, including those between the Harvard and Yale University and Freshman teams, and the Harvard upper class teams. The usual relay race with Pennsylvania was omitted this year because of the great disadvantage arising from splitting the team's strength in two races. The Freshman relay race with Yale this year is a new arrangement. The race with Yale will be approximately two miles, each man running 780 yards, and the Freshman and class races approximately one mile, each man running 390 yards.
The two-mile race with Yale should prove very close. The first three men of the University team are probably a little faster on the average, but Parsons, who will run last for Yale, is a very good man. There is no way of comparing the two Freshman teams. In the upper class race the Seniors have slightly the advantage, judging from the time trials made.
Following are the relay teams:
