Application blanks for tickets to the Harvard-Yale football game may be obtained from the Harvard Athletic Association. In filling applications the following order will be observed:
Group I--When tickets are for personal use; Class I will include all applications for one seat only, (cheering section; applications for these seats are non-transferable.) (a) Holders of yellow (undergraduate) season tickets. (b) Undergraduates, (c) Graduates, Officers of the University, and members of graduate departments. Class II will include applications for two seats only. Class II has same subdivision as Class I. Class III will include all applications for three or four seats. Class III has same subdivision as class I.
Group II--Where tickets are not for personal use, Class I will include applications for one or two seats. Class II will include applications for three or four seats.
The rules governing applications are as follows: 1. Applications for tickets should be made to the Harvard Athletic Association, Cambridge, Mass.; 2. Requests for application blanks should contain addressed and stamped envelope for return blank. 3. Graduates and undergraduates of any department of Harvard University may apply for seats. Men who have studied in any department of Harvard University, and have not graduated, may also apply for seats, but must state specifically at what time they were in the University; 4. Graduates of other colleges, who are in the Graduates Department, may apply as graduates; 5. Men applying for one seat in the cheering section forfeit their right to any mere seats elsewhere. No ladies will be admitted to the cheering section; 6. If a man desires more seats then he is entitled to upon his individual application he may use the application of another man, provided written authority to do so is attached to the application. Tickets assigned on such borrowed application will be placed in Group II. Where a personal application, and a borrowed application are enclosed together, tickets for both will be assigned in Group II. 7. Persons wishing to sit together may enclose their applications together; 8. Remittances may be made by check, express money order, or post-office money order, and should be for the exact amount to cover the tickets ordered. Checks and money orders should be made payable to the Harvard Athletic Association.
9. A large, stamped envelope, addressed to the applicant, should accompany each application. A two-cent stamp will pay the postage on two tickets. Tickets will be sent by registered mail, it stamps to the amount of eight cents in addition to the regular postage are put on the addressed envelope; 10. Each applicant should enclose a self-addressed postal card for the acknowledgement of his application; 11. Seats will be assigned by lot, and the management cannot answer communications requesting a change in seats after allotment; 12. Applications will be received for the Harvard-Yale game tickets not later than 6 P.M., November 8; 13. Tickets will be mailed not earlier than Monday morning, November 19; 14. The management reserves the right to reject any application not complying with the above conditions.
The price of tickets will be $2 each.
Every applicant will be held responsible for the tickets allotted to him, and any Harvard man whose tickets are found in the hands of a speculator will be denied the privilege of securing tickets by application in the future.
In making application for tickets it is necessary to enclose with the application the coupon which will be found in the back of the yellow season ticket. Otherwise it will be impossible to give the preference the ticket requires. Members of the University are urged by the management to get thir applications in at once. From some of those already received it appears that little care is used in filling out the blanks. Each applicant should read carefully the directions on the application blank as the management will be obliged to reject applications which do not comply with all the conditions.
