The Yale football team defeated Holy Cross at New Haven Saturday by a score of 17 to 0, in a game rendered spectacular by long runs by the Yale backs after receiving kicks, followed by fierce line bucking.

Yale scored the first touchdown on a forward pass and a dodging run by Linn. In the second half Yale made two touchdowns by straight line plunging.

Yale's defense was exceptionally strong, as Holy Cross only once gained first down.

The line-up of the Yale team was as follows: l.e., Congdon; l.t., Forbes; l.g., Brides; c., Gillis; r.g., Palge; r.t., Bigelow; r.e., Alcott; q.b., Dines; l.h.b., Werneken; r.h.b., Morse; f.b., Linn.
