The semi-final round of the singles was played in the tennis tournament Saturday. No matches were played in the doubles. The singles resulted as follows: Semi-finals -- F. J. Sulloway 3L. defeated J. M. Morse '07, 6-0, 2-6, 4-6, 6-2, 6-0; J. H. Chase 1G. defeated F. F. de Rham 3L. 6-2, 3-6, 6-2, 6-1.
F. J. Sulloway 3L. will play J. H. Chase 1G. in the final round of the singles at 2:30 o'clock to-day.
The following matches in the third round of the doubles will be played to-day at 1:30 o'clock: H. S. Deming 2L. and J. C. Monnett 2L. vs. F. F. de Rham 3L. and G. P. Gardiner, Jr., '10; A. Fraser-Campbell '08 and S. T. Stackpole '07 vs. C. R. Leonard '08 and W. H. Y. Hackett '08; D. V. Leland Sp. and J. L. Swarts '07 vs. J. M. Morse '07 and R. S. Lovering '08.
Interclass Matches Begin Thursday.
The class tennis teams, consisting of six men, will play for the class championship this week. The captains of the class teams are as follows: A. M. Harlow '07, A. Fraser-Campbell '08, A. S. Dabney '09, G. P. Gardiner, Jr., '10. On Thursday the Seniors will play the Juniors and the Sophomores the Freshmen. On Friday the winners will play for the class championship. The matches will consist of six singles played at 2 o'clock and afterwards three doubles.
