NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The work of the Freshman crew candidates, who reported at the University Boat Club on Thursday, and of all other men from the class of 1909, who wish to try for the Freshman crew, will begin at 3.30 o'clock this afternoon. The most experienced men will be temporarily placed in the first squad, but every man will be given an opportunity to prove his fitness or unfitness to hold this position. Candidates have been assigned to squads as follows: Those who rowed at school at 3.30 o'clock; those who rowed on dormitory crews at 4.15 o'clock; those who rowed both at school and on the dormitory crews at 3.30 o'clock; those with no previous experience 4.45 o'clock.

The work for the present will consist of daily practice on the machines, under the direction of Coach Wray, until the river is open in the spring.
