Brown Defeated in Swimming

The University swimming team easily defeated Brown in a dual meet at Providence last night, winning five out of the six events. The closest race was the 50 yard dash, won by J. V. Quinlan '07 in the fast time of 31 2-5 seconds. The diving competition was closely contested, but the University team excelled in form. Brown won the water-polo game by the score of 4 to 0. Only one half was played as the University team was obliged to leave to catch the return train.

100-yard dash--Won by P. Withington, '09. Time, 1m., 7 2-5s.

Plunge for distance--Won by D. B. Hill '08. Distance, 43 1-2 ft.

Diving--Won by R. K. Tomlin '07, D. B. Hill '08.
