Informal 1908 Dinner a Success

The first informal Sophomore dinner, held last night in the Assembly Room of the Union, was attended by 69 men. All who were called on for speeches and songs responded, others took turns at the piano, and everybody joined in the chorus of the well known songs, so that there was not a pause during the entire two hours. It is believed that this plan of having frequent meetings of comparatively small groups of men chosen at random from the class will give an opportunity for making acquaintances which the smokers, with their very large attendance, could not provide.

There will be no more dinners until after the mid-year examinations, but the success of the dinner last night makes it certain that the proposed plan of holding the dinners every possible Tuesday will be put into effect:
