Graduates Defeated in Lacrosse

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

In a practice game played Saturday afternoon on Soldiers Field the University lacrosse team defeated a team of graduates by the score of 18 to 1. As several graduates who were expected failed to come out, their places were taken by members of the University squad.

The University team's attack was strong, but the men in mid-field showed poor judgment in passing. Owing to the weakness of the graduates' attack the defense was not fairly tested. Smith, Adams and Ackerman took advantage of all chances to score. Sayler, who until this year was ineligible for the team, played a brilliant game. For the graduates, Bennett, captain of last year's team, did by far the best work.
