Upperclass Debating Meeting Monday

The first meeting of the newly formed upperclass debating club will be held on Monday night in the Union. An executive committee, composed of C. L. Smith '07, E. E. Norman '07 and J. D. Pounds '08, has agreed to call the new organization the Extempore Club, and this name will be submitted for the approval of the club Monday night. A constitution is soon to be drawn up, but this will probably not be ready for another week. All other plans and suggestions will be passed upon at the first meeting. W. E. Burton '07 has been elected temporary chairman, and T. H. O'Neil '07 temporary secretary and treasurer.

The question for debate at the meeting Monday night, as decided upon by the executive committee, is: "Resolved, That students of the graduate and professional schools shall be excluded from Yard dormitories." E. B. Stillman '06 and B. E. Estes '07 will support the affirmative; J. T. Moss '08 and R. H. Hall '07 will support the negative.

It is hoped that all men interested in the promotion of extemporaneous speaking in the two upper classes will make an effort to be present, as the success of the club will depend upon having a large enough membership that work will not be interfered with by a few absences from the weekly meetings.
