In pursuance of the new system by which the Debating clubs of the three upper classes were abolished, all men in the University will be given an opportunity to become members of the University Debating Club at the meeting this evening at 8 o'clock in the Trophy Room of the Union. Men wishing to become members will be allowed five minute speeches from the floor, after the regular debate. Applications for trial should be sent before noon to J. S. Davis, Thayer 59. The question for debate is, "Resolved, That municipal ownership as outlined by the Hearst ticket would be for the best interests of New York."
