University Fall Rowing Discontinued

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The University fall rowing was discontinued last Tuesday on account of cold weather. The work this fall has been more systematic than in former years. A special effort has been made not only to coach the individual men, but also to choose, and coach as a whole, the most likely crew for next spring. Seven of the men from last year's University and four-oar crews will be able to row in the spring. Last year's Freshman crew, also, will furnish valuable material.

Two eights have been rowing on the river daily all the fall, the second consisting largely of last year's Freshman crew. Filley stroked the first crew until very recently when he changed to number six, and Morgan was tried in his place at stroke. The spring rowing will not begin until after the mid-year examinations.
