E. B. Dewhurst of Pennsylvania won the intercollegiate lawn tennis championship yesterday by defeating R. H. Behr of Yale 6-2, 4-6, 7-5, 6-4 on the courts of the Merion Cricket Club, Haverford, Pa. Dewhurst had the match well in hand from the start and though he lost the second set through wildness, he was able to steady his game and pull out the next two sets. The double matches were postponed until today.
