In the second day's play of the interclass tennis tournament yesterday afternoon, the Sophomores defeated the Freshmen by a score of 5 out of a possible 9 points, each match won counting one point. The results were as follows: Niles '09 defeated Hackett '08 6-3, 6-1; A. Fraser-Campbell '08 defeated Morse '09 6-3, 2-6, 6-2; Dabney '09 defeated Tyng '08 1-6, 7-5, 6-4; Leonard '08 defeated Wertheimer '09 6-4, 1-6, 8-6; Harriman '09 defeated Davis '08 6-4, 6-3; Frelinghuysen '08 defeated Ackerland '09 6-4, 1-6, 6-4; A. Fraser-Campbell '08 and Tyng '08 defeated Niles '09 and Morse '09 6-3, 3-6, 6-1; Hackett '08 and Leonard '08 defeated Dabney '09 and Wertheimer '09 6-1, 6-0; Harriman '09 and Ackerland '09 defeated Frelinghuysen '08 and Davis '08.
Tomorrow the Juniors will play the Sophomores for the championship of the University. The schedule is as follows: Eaton '07 vs. Hackett '08; Morse '07 vs. A. Fraser-Campbell '08; Henshaw '07 vs. Tyng '08; Harlow '07 vs. Leonard '08; Johnson '07 vs. Davis '08; Nichols '07 or Stackpole '07 vs. Frelinghuysen '08. The schedule for the doubles has not yet been arranged, but the pairs from 1907 are: Morse and Henshaw; Eaton and Stackpole; Johnson and Henshaw; from 1908: A. Fraser-Campbell and Tyng; Hackett and Leonard; Frelinghuysen and Davis.
