Yale University has recently received a bequest of $250,000, left by Mr. W. R. Ross for the erection of a new library. A library committee has been appointed, and general plans for the new building, are being carefully considered. Construction of the building will probably begin next summer and should be completed in about a year.
The location of the library has not yet been settled, but it seems probable that the Linonia and Brothers Library will be removed and that the new building be placed near Chitlendon. It is intended to equip the library with private reference rooms, lavatories and a college reading room.
