The Commencement Speakers.

Francis Howard Fobes, Latin Salutatorian, lives in, Lexington, Mass., and prepared for college at Phillips Andover. In his Junior year he tied with two others for second place in the Phi Beta Kappa elections, and he has received John Harvard scholarships and a Detur. The subject of his address is "De omnium studiorum utilitate."

John Jacob Rogers, who will speak on "The Gunpowder Plot," is from Lowell, Mass., and prepared at the Lowell High School. He has received Harvard College scholarships during the past two years.

Fred Wayne Catlett lives in Wellsville, Ohio, and prepared for college at the Wellsville High School. In 1902 he received a Harvard College scholarship and he held a Burr scholarship in his Junior year. He was a member of his Junior and Senior debating teams, and has been treasurer and vice-president of the Junior Wranglers. He will speak on "The Millionaire in Politics."

Harry LeBaron Sampson, who will represent the Law School on Commencement Day, is a resident of Middleborough, Mass., and prepared at the Middleborough High School. He graduated from Dartmouth in 1900 with the degree summa cum laude. During the past two years he has been an editor of the Law Review, and last year was head of its Recent Case department. His address is entitled "The Legal Settlement of Controversies between Nations."

Earl Clement Davis, who will represent the Divinity School, prepared at the Edward Little High School in Auburn, Me., and graduated from Bowdoin College in 1897. The subject of his part is "The Prophet of Democracy."

Selden Osgood Martin, the representative of the Graduate Sshool, was born in Foxcroft, Me., and is a resident of Cambridge. He prepared for College at Foxcroft Academy, and graduated at Bowdoin in 1903. This year he has held a Thayer Scholarship in the Graduate School. His part is entitled "The Influence of the West."
