The members of the second and third University crews went out yesterday in four-oared shells. From these crews the University four-oared crew will be picked to race Yale at New London on June 30. On account of the bad weather yesterday and the fact that the men have been out in four-oars for only a few days, the rowing was very ragged.
In the University boat two changes were made. Flint replaced Swaim at 3 and Montgomery took Greene's place as coxswain. The men still cut off the stroke too soon on the finish and are slow on the beginning of the recover.
Following is the order in which the University crew rowed yesterday:
Stroke, Filley; 7, Duffy; 6, Shuebruk; 5, Lawson; 4, Smith; 3, Flint; 2, Ober; bow, Dillingham; cox., Montgomery.
