The preliminary trials for the annual intercollegiate track meet will be held on Franklin Field this afternoon commencing at 2 o'clock. The University team arrived in Philadelphia yesterday morning and will stay at the Hotel Aldine.
The prospect of victory for the team is good, in spite of the defeat in the recent dual games, as many of the first places won in that meet will be distributed among other colleges; while Harvard is sure to secure a large number of second and third places.
