Second Crew Leaves for Ithaca Today.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The University second crew will leave at 4.30 o'clock this afternoon from the North Station for Ithaca, where they will race the Cornell second crew over the two-mile course on Cayuga Lake, Saturday.

A short brush between the second and third crews yesterday was won by the third by about a length and a half. The third crew was fresh when the brush started, whereas the second had just rowed over the full course. The chief fault with the second was a marked tendency to cut off the finish of the stroke too soon.

Following are the men who will make the trip to Ithaca: Brownell, Bowditch, Lindsley; Montgomery, Foster, Gardiner, Ober, Flint, Chase, Derby.
