In the University crew practice Saturday only the first and second crews rowed; the members of the third crew went out in singles. In the first boat Duffy and Over did not row, and their places were taken by Bowditch and Shepard at 7 and 2 respectively. Foster rowed in Shepard's place at 6 in the second boat. The practice was short but brought out the fact that in the first crew the starboard side was rowing poorly together and that the entire boat was slow on the start of the recover.
Following were the orders:
First crew--Stroke, Filley; 7, Bowditch; 6, Smith; 5, Lawson; 4, Shuebruk; 3, Swaim; 2, Shepard; bow, Dillingham; cox., Greene.
Second crew-Stroke, Pleasanton; 7, Flint; 6, Foster; 5, Meler; 4, Switzer; 3, Gill, 2, Brownell; bow, Johnson; cox., Montgomery.
