A. L. White '06 defeated F. H. Ellis '06, 4 up and 2 to play, and F. Ingalls '04 defeated H. B. Hollins '04, 1 up in the semi-final round of the tournament for the individual golf championship of the University, played yesterday afternoon on the Brookline Country Club course. Both matches were closely contested, that between White and Ellis bringing out the lower scoring. White played the more consistent game, was surer on his approaches, and putted particularly well. The match between Ingalls and Hollins was more exciting, however, for neither was more than 2 up at any time, and Ingalls was 1 down at the turn.
