Yesterday the University eight stroked by Foster rowed two long stretches upstream. Later, the crews stroked by Brownell and Smith went down stream, but found the Basin so rough that they turned back, and rowed in short stretches between the bridges. Mr. Colson coached all three crews from the launch.
