New Plan for Maintaining Infirmary

It was decided at the last meeting of the Corporation that beginning with the academic year 1904-05, every student in the University should be charged a fee of four dollars a year for the maintenance of the Stillman Infirmary. On the order of a physician, any student in case of sickness will be entitled, in return for this fee, to a bed in a ward, board, and ordinary nursing for a period not exceeding two weeks in any academic year. Unmarried officers of the University, who have paid a similar fee of four dollars, will be allowed similar privileges in case of sickness. Cases of contagious diseases will be received at the Infirmary upon the completion of the isolation ward, for the erection of which Mr. Stillman has generously provided.

Medical attendance is not included in the above arrangement, it being expected that patients will be attended by their own physicians. The services of the Medical Visitor will be available without charge, however, for patients who are unable to employ a private physician. An extra charge will be made for the use of private rooms at the Infirmary, except in the case of needy students whose treatment requires such privacy.
