Ragged Playing by Hockey Team.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

In a hard practice game yesterday the University hockey team defeated the substitutes by the score of 7 to 2. During the first half, which was 40 minutes in length, both teams scored twice. The second team showed superiority in team-play and aggressiveness. The passing of the University team was discouraging, and a number of easy chances for goals were lost by slowness in shooting.

In the second half the University team played with greater dash and by fast passing and accurate shooting scored three times in quick succession during the first few minutes of play.

The teams lined up as follows: UNIVERSITY.  SECOND. Wilder, r.e.  l.e., Prentice, Newhall Souther, r.c.  l.c., Stoddard, Prentice Townsend, l.c.  r.c., Callaway Macleod, l.e.  r.e., Newhall, Kernan Clothier, c.p.  c.p., Egan Marshall, p.  p., Sard Ivy, g.  g., Tyer
