Edgar Newcomb Wrightington '97, has been appointed head coach of the University football team for next year. Mr. Wrightington entered College in 1893 and during four years he played left halfback on the University eleven and was captain of the team in his Senior year. In addition to his activity in football he rowed bow on the University crew in his Sophomore year and number three in his Senior year. Mr. Wrightington is a member of the executive committee of the Harvard Graduate Football Association of Boston. He has been practically a regular member of the coaching staff during the last seven years and has served as an official in many of the important intercollegiate games.
It has been requested by the University Football Association, in order to help Mr. Wrightington from the very start in his work of turning out a successful eleven, that every member of the University weighing 170 pounds or over, and also every member knowing of persons of that weight in the University or of anyone possessing conspicuous ability, send his name and address to D. J. Hurley, care of the Harvard Athletic Association, Cambridge.
