NEW BASEBALL SQUADS.

Batting Practice to Begin Today.--Reas-assignment of Candidates to Squads.

Several important changes have been made in the University baseball squads. Batting practice under the direction of Keeler and Coach Frantz will begin today. For this work the candidates have been divided into small squads, which will practice in fifteen-minute periods beginning at 10.45 o'clock. Battery squads, including both University and Freshman candidates, will practice in fifteen-minute periods during the early afternoon. Candidates for the University team have been divided into first and second squads, which will report at 2.45 and 3.30 o'clock respectively. Regular Freshman practice will be held today at 4.15.

Following are the assignments to squads. It is absolutely necessary that all men report exactly on time, in order to avoid interference with succeeding squads.

Batting Squad 1, 10.45-11: Kohler, Sheldon, Hale, Fiske.

Batting Squad 2, 11-11.15: Levy Spencer, Stevens, Sanger, Burns, Phillips, Carver, Greene, Brackett.

Batting Squad 3, 11.15-11.30: Hitchings, Macdonald, Castle, McAleer, Tuckerman, Snyder, Jones, Davis, Mason, Ireland, Jones.

Batting Squad 4, 11.30-11.45: Marshall, Dodge, Hamlen, Hall, Coburn, Bolton, Dewar, Matsukata, Little, Fish.

Batting Squad 5, 11.45-12: Peters, Heltzen, Howells.

Batting Squad 6, 12-12.15: Burns, Tweed, Whiting, J. F. MacDonnell, Ware, Matthews, Cunningham, E. Field, Fischel.
