The first of a series of twelve lectures in German, on "Literary and Aesthetic Criticism in Germany in the Eighteenth Century, with some Reference to the Aesthetic Problems of the Present time," will be given this afternoon at 3.30 o'clock, in Sever 7, by Dr. K. D. Jessen, formerly an instructor in the German Department. This course has been authorized by the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, but cannot be counted towards a degree. The lectures will be given on successive Friday afternoons and will be open only to students of the University and of Radcliffe College.
