Mr. F. D. Colson is expected to arrive from Cornell this morning and will at once take charge of both the University and Freshman crew squads. The University squad will be called out tomorrow and the men will be given practice on the machines. As soon as possible the squad will be divided into small groups of three or four men who will be given individual coaching, preparatory to the selection of the eights. Mr. Colson will direct the work of the Freshman squad, assisted by Mr. J. G. Smith 1L., who has acted as coach of the Freshman rowing since the men were called out in the early part of January. A cut in the Freshman squad will probably be made within a few days, after which temporary eights will be picked. Candidates for the class crews will be called out on Monday, February 15, and will be given coaching on the machines and in the tank under the direction of Wray and Vail.
