First High Jump Contest Today.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The first of two informal contests in high jumping, which have been arranged by the track team, will be held this afternoon in the Gymnasium at 3.30 o'clock. There is still a great need of men in the high jump and it is hoped that these contests will bring out candidates for the event. A first, second and possibly a third prize will be given and all members of the University may enter who have never won a prize in the University, who have never competed in the dual or intercollegiate games and who are eligible for the track team. About 15 men have been practicing every day for the contest and it promises to develop much good material. The date of the second contest has not yet been decided on.
