The Freshman football practice yesterday afternoon showed great improvement both in speed and in team work. The line is still a little slow in breaking through but the backs played an especially strong game and made large gains. Team play was noticeably more in evidence but there is yet a great deal to be accomplished in this respect. The second eleven was scored on three times and seemed unable to make a good defense against the first team.
The line-up: Brown, l.e.; Pell, l.f.; Gilmore, l.g.; Grant, c.; Talbot, r.g.; Warren, r.t.; Ball, r.e.; Pope, q.b.; Apollonio, l.h.b.; Derby, r.h.b.; Somes, f.b.
