The Social Service Committee will hold its first conference of the year at 7.30 o'clock this evening in Peabody Hall, Phillips Brooks House, when Mr. B. C. Marsh will speak on "The Tramp, a Luxury." Mr. Marsh has lived for years among tramps in both Europe and America, studying their habits and character, and is an expert social worker. At the time of the Baltimore fire, he was called to Baltimore in order to get the tramps out of the city, so as to lessen the difficulty of supplying food to the inhabitants. He is a speaker of wide reputation, and an authority on his subject.
The lecture is open to members of the University.
