In a hard 20-minute line-up yesterday afternoon between teams A and B of the Freshman football squad, team A scored one touchdown after rushing the ball 50 yards on mass plays through guard and tackle. The offense of both teams showed some improvement, the chief fault now being that the men start slowly. This, however, may partly be accounted for by the slippery condition of the field. The next game will be played with Exeter tomorrow afternoon on Soldiers Field.
The line-up yesterday was as follows: Team A--Hadden, l.e.; Pell, l.t.; Brewer, l.g.; Richardson, c.; Talbot, r.g.; Warren, r.t.; Ball, r.e.; Starr, q.b.; Thomas, l.h.b.; Gilder, r.h.b.; Somes, f.b. Team B--Harding, l.e.; Robinson, l.t.; Wagstaff, l.g.; Grant, c.; Hyde, r.g.; Stillman, r.t.; Moore, r.e.; Pope, q.b.; Orr, l.h.b.; Markoe, r.h.b.; Apollonio, f.b.
The remainder of the Freshman schedule is as follows:
Oct. 15.--Exeter at Cambridge.
Oct. 19.--Groton School at Groton.
Oct. 22.--Andover at Andover.
Oct. 29.--Worcester Academy at Cambridge.
Nov. 2.--Cushing Academy at Cambridge.
Nov. 12.--Yale 1908 at New Haven.
