Eskimo Carvings for Peabody Museum

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

A collection of small ivory pieces representing certain phases of life among the Eskimos of Northern Labrador, has recently been purchased by the Peabody Museum. The collection was made by Dr. Grenfell, who has charge of the Deep Sea Mission along the coast of Alaska and who is greatly interested in the people of that region. The carvings are unusually good examples of the work done by the Eskimos, and form a variable addition to the collections of the Museum.
