Dates and Subjects for the Series by M. Beaulleu

The annual lectures under the auspices of the Cercle Francais will this year be given by M. Anatole Leroy Beau-lieu, in Sanders Theatre on the afternoons of March 3, 5, 8, 12, 15, 17, 19, and 22. The general subject for the series will be: "Christianisme et Democratie: Les Questions Religieuses Dans La France de XIXme Siecle," and the subjects for the lectures severally have been announced as follows:

March 3.--"Les philosophes du XVIII me Siecle et la Revolution."

March 5.--"Joseph de Maistre et l'Ultramontanisme."

March 8.--"Laurennais et les Catholiques liberaux."

March 12.--"Le pape Leon XIII et la Republique francaise."

March 15.--"V. M. de Mun et le Christianisme Social."

March 17.--"Les Democrates chretiens et l'Antisemitisme."

March 19.--"Les Protestants francais et l'Antiprotestantisme."

March 22.--"Le Christianisme et le Socialisme."

M. Beaulieu is a distinguished member of the Institute of France, a member of the Academie des Sciences Morales et Politiques, and professor of History and Eastern Affairs at the Ecole libre des Sciences Politiques. He is the author of a number of books, among which are "L'Empire des Tsars, et les Russes," "Un Empereur, un Roi, un Pape et une Restauration," "Un Homme d'Etat Russe," "Les Catholiques Liberaux," "L'Eglise et la Liberalisme," "La France La Russie, et L'Europe," "La Revolution et la Liberalisme."

Free tickets for the course may be obtained from K. H. Gibson '04, 28 Holyoke street, to whom all applications must be sent in writing before the twenty-fifth of February. No person may apply for more than four seats and all applications will be filled in order of receipt.
