A Boston Committee, consisting of G. L. Osgood '66, A. Foote '74, F. S. Converse '93, P. L. Atherton '93, and J. E. Lodge, has recently been appointed to supervise the collection of funds for the proposed new Music Building. Subscriptions may be sent to any member of this committee, to President Eliot or Professor J. K. Paine, or to the following alumni who have been appointed a New York committee: J. H. Choate, Jr., 97. W. K. Brice '95, and D. H. Morgan '97.

The building will be of old fashioned red brick and will contain, besides recitation rooms, a large concert hall. The cost will be $80,000. The site has not yet been definitely decided upon, but the corner of Holmes Field between the Physical Laboratory and the Engineering Building, has been strongly recommended.
