In spite of the bad weather Saturday, nearly the entire spring football squad of over thirty men reported for practice with commendable spirit. Owing to the softness of the ground the work was done in the cage. The practice consisted of starting, kicking and catching, signal work and individual coaching followed by a short run.
Today there will be only light work, but tomorrow the squad will be divided into teams which will line up against one another for the first time. In the latter part of the week the more elementary work will be gradually abandoned, and teams will occasionally be lined up against one another in short practice games.
Coach Cranston, who twisted his ankle last week, will probably be out again today to direct the work.
