The Dudleian lecture this year will be delivered by Professor McGiffert of the Union Theological Seminary, New York. The subject will be "The Validity of Early New England Church Orders." The Congregational church of the first settlers of New England refused to recognize ecclesiastical orders conferred by the High Church of England or the Roman Catholic Church.
