Hon. Charles D. Hine, secretary of the Connecticut State Board of Education, will speak in Lawrence Hall this evening at 7.30 o'clock, under the auspices of the Educational Conference, on "The Course of Study, with particular reference to a Common-School Education and Social Welfare." The lecture will be open to the University. Mr. Hine has had a long experience on the Connecticut State Board of Education and has done a great deal toward raising the standard of efficiency in the public schools of the state.
